The pose is somewhat provocative, with the lifting of the shirt to reveal a bit of stomach. The face is cut off. The scratches and the stitches end where the hands and the clothing begin. To me, it conveys something of a need to be sexy, to be the object of someone's desire, but feeling unable to fit into that mold based on having something to hide.
